<p>We're thrilled to introduce MODELITO, a powerful new language designed to revolutionize how we create and manipulate 3D models.</p>
<h2 class="anchor anchorWithStickyNavbar_LWe7" id="core-design-philosophy">Core Design Philosophy<a href="https://modelito.xyz/blog/welcome#core-design-philosophy" class="hash-link" aria-label="Direct link to Core Design Philosophy" title="Direct link to Core Design Philosophy"></a></h2>
<h3 class="anchor anchorWithStickyNavbar_LWe7" id="self-documenting-by-design">Self-Documenting by Design<a href="https://modelito.xyz/blog/welcome#self-documenting-by-design" class="hash-link" aria-label="Direct link to Self-Documenting by Design" title="Direct link to Self-Documenting by Design"></a></h3>
<p>MODELITO's syntax is intentionally crafted to be intuitive and memorable, allowing developers to focus on creativity rather than syntax. Our design principles emphasize:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Developer Happiness</strong>: A joyful, flow-inducing development experience</li>
<li><strong>Relationships Over Numbers</strong>: Focus on component relationships rather than raw coordinates</li>
<li><strong>Progressive Complexity</strong>: From simple shapes to complex designs with ease</li>
<li><strong>Composability</strong>: Components that work together seamlessly</li>
</ul>
<h2 class="anchor anchorWithStickyNavbar_LWe7" id="architecture-strategy">Architecture Strategy<a href="https://modelito.xyz/blog/welcome#architecture-strategy" class="hash-link" aria-label="Direct link to Architecture Strategy" title="Direct link to Architecture Strategy"></a></h2>

<p>MODELITO uses "explicit armatures" as the bridge between basic and complex designs:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Start Simple</strong>: Define an "armature" like the wireframe skeleton that holds everything together</li>
<li><strong>Query &amp; Navigate</strong>: Traverse your structure intelligently ("find the top face", "get all corners")</li>
<li><strong>Let SDFs Handle Complex geometry</strong>: For the final output, we use Distance Fields.</li>
</ul>
<h3 class="anchor anchorWithStickyNavbar_LWe7" id="cross-platform-shader-support">Cross-Platform Shader Support<a href="https://modelito.xyz/blog/welcome#cross-platform-shader-support" class="hash-link" aria-label="Direct link to Cross-Platform Shader Support" title="Direct link to Cross-Platform Shader Support"></a></h3>
<p>MODELITO is designed with shader portability in mind, making it easy to work with WGLSL, HLSL, MSL, and other shader languages thanks to Slang!</p>

<p>We believe in using technology to make a positive impact. MODELITO hopefully will be used for things like:</p>
<ul>
<li>Medical applications like bone implants and prosthetics</li>
<li>Sustainable designs</li>
<li>Humanitarian engineering</li>
</ul>
